Willard Smith at KHIPP event to hear Senator Carroll

2007-02-27 - Little Auditorium, Campbellsville University .

Former Columbia banker and Cane Valley native, Willard Smith was in attendance at a Kentucky Heartland Institute for Public Policy (KHIPP) event, Tuesday, February 27 to hear former Kentucky Governor and now Kentucky State Senator Julian Carroll speak. Part of Senator Carroll's message was to recommend to students, faculty, and members of the public that they get involved and stay involved in the political process. Above, Smith is turned to speak with Butch Wheatley, who was seated behind him. Smith is now retired from First Federal Savings & Loan (now Community Trust Bank of Columbia), and still stays involved. (Campbellsville University photo by Linda Waggener)
