Terry Moore : Maintaining Edgewoods Memorial Day Tradition

2006-05-29 - Adair County Fairgrounds, Columbia, KY - Photo Ed Waggener. EDGEWOODS MEMORIAL TRADITION. Terry Moore of Edgewoods provided sound again this year for the annual Columbia VFW Post 6097 Memorial Day observation, as Edgewoods has for the past 11 years. In more recent events, Edgewood has also erected a tent sun shelter for the event, as well. The shelter was welcome comfort for many in the crowd who endured the heat Sunday, May 28, 2006, to remember those Adair Countians who gave their lives in defense of America. The high temperatures were a small price to pay, speaker Darrell Treece reminded those present, in comparison to the ultimate sacrifice the fallen service men had made.
