Pole Move for highway change to improve visibility

2006-05-24 - Burkesville and Frazier, Columbia, KY - Photo Staff. ELLIOTT CO. workers were relocating a Kentucky Utilities Pole at the corner of Burkesville ST and West Frazier AVE, Wednesday morning, May 24, 2006, in preparation for a Kentucky State Highway removal of the steep cut, with a sloped front to improve visibility around the curve toward town. City Clerk Carolyn Edwards says she expects the highway work to follow soon after the utilities are moved. Kentucky Highway Commissioner Marc Williams approved the work after a tour of Columbia with Mayor Patrick R. Bell, Judge Jerry Vaughan, and Curtis Hardwick.
