Indigo Well blows in

2006-02-18 - Bliss, Adair CO, KY - Photo Ed Waggener. A large crowd lined G.B. Bardin Road at noon Friday, February 17, 2006, as the Stevie Burchett Drilling Co., of Albany, KY, blew in the new Indigo Oil, LLC, well on the Phillip Bardin lease. It was the first well the company ever drilled, and the first for its owners, Contractor Bill Edelen, Louisville Attorney Harry Borders, Louisville Drywall Contractor Kenny Stilger, and Edelin's children, Paul Edelen and Chelsey Edelen. Oil was struck in the Murfreesboro formation at 1,150 feet. Activity in the Gradyville Oilfield is greatly increased since the price of oil reached $60 a barrel. Oilfield activity in Adair County is to be the subject of the Byron Crawford column in the Sunday Courier-Journal, February 19, 2006
