Red-shouldered hawk

2006-01-06 - Graham & Evan Basketball Goal - Photo Pen Waggener. Pen, Graham, and Evan Waggener had this visitor to their basketball goal today. The bird's size can be appreciated by comparing its crown to tail feathers length the the backboard. The huge raptor apparently has little fear. The goal is less than 45 feet from the house.
