Final exam equals 101 pounds lost by this group

2005-11-27 - Columbia, KY - Photo Tiffany Hadley. THE DIET AND EXERCISE PROGRAM PAID OFF FOR THESE FOLKS. The classes held over the past eight Monday nights at the Extension office finished on a positive note on November 21st with a group total of 101 pounds lost. In the once-weekly, one-hour classes, members learned about exercise from Jelaine Phillips and about diet and nutrition from Kelli Bonifer. Their departments, The Health Department and the Extension Office, are charged by Gov. Ernie Fletcher's "Get Fit Kentucky" program to offer free community education to help improve the health statistics in Adair County. Another class will be announced in the spring. For more information, call the Health Department at 270-384-2286.
