Walking by Lake Cumberland

2004-11-22 - Jamestown, KY - Photo Linda Waggener. IT'S FUN TO APPRECIATE our area through the eyes of someone new to south central Kentucky. Visitor Suzan Sanver from Glasgow, Scotland was enchanted at the beauty of Lake Cumberland on a lakeside walk near Lure Lodge. Since Scotlanders don't recognize Memorial Day nor Labor Day, she needed clarification when she heard that between those dates the lake is crowded with tourists in speed boats. Suzan did appreciate the quiet of this November day, with only the most dedicated of fishermen on the lake watching their lines in the water.
