Ding Dong Cake popular with the Gold family

Harriett Gold made this Ding Dong Cake to share with board members of the Adair County Hospital District at her husband Neal’s request. The group gathered for farewells as the office for the Adair County Hospital District was being closed out Wednesday evening. The cake is a great big version of the Hostess snack cake. It’s made with rich chocolate cake layered with a creamy filling. Everyone who tasted it gave it rave reviews and the popular recipe can be found on the Internet.
