Columbia United Methodist has new pastor

Dr. Martin has been a part of the Columbia United Methodist Church leadership for the past nine years. He has preached on a number of occasions; he and his wife Julie have led Bible studies, he has served as director of the Sunday online services and in general stepped in and helped wherever needed. He also is the Lindsey Wilson College Campus Chaplain, teaches classes and serves as the college's ADA coordinator. Leaving a legacy

John Walker and his wife Marcia came from Frankfort to the Adair County Genealogy and History Center recently to participate in an audio creation of memories of his father, Pete Walker. Working with Mike Watson, he answered questions and shared memories of growing up in Columbia and of his family. The Genealogy Center has new recording equipment and encourages any interested families to make arrangements for documentation.
