The Adair County Floral Hall Competition is taking place at the Extension Office this year this year. It's always free to participate in the AC Fair tradition with over 200 categories - including quilting, textiles, canning, breads, cakes, candies, cookies, pies, stitchery, knitting, flowers, crafts, art, and photography. Twins back on the lawn for a snack

Meet Chrissy Speck, Stage Manager for Perfect Wedding

Chrissy Speck serves as Stage Manager for Perfect Wedding. Chrissy is a Junior at LWC and is a Human Services and Counseling and Theatre double major. This is her first season with TheatreFest! and this is Chrissy's first TheatreFest! stage managing role. She is so thankful for the trust that Robert, Jeremy, and the Perfect Wedding cast and crew have given her with this position.

Perfect Wedding will run with 7pmCT/8pmET performances July 27-29, 2022, and a 2pmCT/3pmET, performance July 31, 2022. For ticket information, to purchase tickets, and to meet more of the cast, visit www.theatrefest.org.

Flooding a concern with morning and evening rainfall

There is a Flash Flood Watch along and south of the Kentucky parkways in central Kentucky until 10amCT/11amET. The rest of the day Thursday will be mostly dry, but the potential for more heavy rain returns Thursday evening. Flooding concerns remain, especially if more rain falls over already saturated areas.

Rogers Scholars in service work

The Lindsey Wilson College Rogers Scholars were at the Fairgrounds Park Wednesday giving their service, cleaning up the park and bleachers. The Rogers Scholars program is an intensive one-week summer session for rising high school juniors from 42 counties in Southern and Eastern Kentucky, including Adair County. Rogers Scholars interact with state and national leaders and work with high-quality instructors to develop technological skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, leadership and a commitment to rural Kentucky.
