Wildflowers: Purple Coneflowers
2026-07-01 - Coburg, KY - Photo by Robert Ellis, robertelliswoodworking.com. Robert writes, "Spotted these wildflowers a few days earlier when I was riding around the Coburg area. Unfortunately they were growing in waist high 'weeds', about 30 feet from the road, so the thought occurred to me how bad do you want to photograph them? It had rained earlier, and the temperatures were cooler. After looking for poison ivy and seeing none, I dove in! Showered when I got home and escaped bug bites as well.
It was worth it-barely."

A favorite photo from Fathers Day celebrations
2026-07-01 - Adair County, KY - Photo from family collection. One of the favorites from this Fathers Day was this from father of four, Easton Bryant. He shared, "Not sure how many more years I’ll be able to recreate this one. Owning a small business feels like a heavy load pretty darn often. Also, it holds no comparison to the impact of being a father. While there has to be at least a million things I could be doing better, I never let too much time pass without telling these four hooligans this: “I love being your Daddy. I’m so thankful I get to do it.” "
