New sign at first Industrial Park entry
 2023-03-30 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Mayor Pam Hoots. Samantha Oakes, manager of Morgan-Smith, was the first to mention how much a new sign was needed on the South 55 entrance to Columbia's original Industrial Park. From that mention at an Economic Development Authority meeting, this new sign, including all the businesses in the park, has now been placed.

At the March Adair County Fiscal Court meeting

Mary Bardin, center, was one who was there to defend the proposed occupational tax. She states her reasons in the letter linked to this picture, "...Our county jail is running in the red, and definitely in poor state of repair with conditions that are a "threat to society" such as moisture and mold, dysfunctional elevator that can't be repaired and the staffing shortages of both the jail and Sheriff's department..."

Adair County Fiscal Court votes on tax
 2023-03-29 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Victoria Pike of Miss Vicky\'s Pampered Angus Ranch. Terry Hadley was the only Magistrate who voted with Adair County Judge Executive Larry Russell Bryant in favor of implementing a one percent occupational tax in the county to help improve the financial situation, similar to the ones in each of the six surrounding counties. All the other Magistrates voted against it in Tuesday night's meeting.
