Coca Cola plant in Campbellsville, ca 1935

This photo was published in 1971 as part of a story about the planned construction of a new bottling plant on KY 210 just outside Campbellsville. The caption reads, in part,
"THE CAMPBELLSVILLE COCA-BOTTLING COMPANY began production in 1905. The soft drink was manufactured and delivered to dealers in wooden barrels in those days. In the years since that time, the company has enjoyed seven major expansions caused by its product's gradually increasing acceptance with the public. The photo ... shows distributors and their trucks parked in front of the plant as it looked in 1935."
Mike writes, "Thought this old photo from Green River Sprite, 6 June 1971, might set a conversation going..."

Scenic Russell County - new bridge going up

The new bridge in Russell County is progressing, this will be the new portion of US 127 taking all traffic off Wolf Creek Dam at Lake Cumberland.
