Congratulations McKenzie Martin, attorney at law
2023-05-10 - Lexington, KY - Photo from family collection. Congratulations to new attorney McKenzie Martin, graduate of the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law. She is pictured here with her Mom and Dad, David and Cathy Martin at commencement. Cathy wrote, "McKenzie, we cannot begin to tell you how proud we are of you. We know that Granddaddy & Blake would have both been sooo proud of you today, too. They would have been bubbling over. We thank all of your close friends & family for being here to celebrate with you (& us) today. Now on to the next step, taking the BAR. But we know that you will wipe that out like you always have done everything else. We know that you have BIG things ahead of you. And we will be there watching & cheering you on every step of the way!"

Flag issue reported on CM addressed by Magistrate
2023-05-10 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Jackie Cravens, Adair County Fiscal Court. Magistrate Mark Humphress brought his bucket truck to town yesterday to remove the ragged flag from the Court House lawn. The flag was not replaced due to the pole needing repairs and future work planned to remove the wings of the courthouse. He had received several calls and texts yesterday morning about the issue, as well as reading Mr. Babin's concerns on Columbia Magazine.

Travel: Candy Cliffs (Yant Flat)
2023-05-10 - Leeds, Utah - Photo by Robert Ellis, Robert Ellis Woodworking. Robert writes, "This hidden gem in Utah is about 40 miles from St. George. The 8 1/2 mile road from Leeds is gravel, up a mountain with the last 1/2 mile turning into a strictly rutted, dirt road.
The hike is about 2 1/2 miles, out and back, across Yant Flat Plateau. It's a relatively easy hike, with the exception of one section being sand that you have to slog through.
The views, colors and majesty of this place are hard to put into words, let alone capture in a photograph.
It was late evening when we visited, and aware of the return hike back to the car and the drive back down the mountain...before nightfalls, we limited our exploring to just this one spot. Beyond the colorful peak at the left (if you look close enough you can see people sitting on it) lies more of these rock formations!"
