Green River during the Great Depression

Larry writes, "Times were hard in 1929 with the Great Depression and then the Dust Bowl, most of us don't remember this but we've heard the stories and some people are still living today that still remember this crisis in America. Here's a picture of the Green River almost dry in Greensburg in 1930 taken from the river bottom on Columbia Highway."

Why did the armadillo cross the road?

William writes, "This armadillo was on 61 just south of Sparksville yesterday. I'm curious how long they have been in this area? My wife and I have seen several here now. Just a reminder to all, you should avoid touching one as they are carriers of multiple diseases including leprosy."

Scenic Adair County - Sunday drive
