SRO Jimmy Luttrell and CPD Chief JR Murphy welcomed visitors at the Friday celebration and back to school event at the new Splash Pad at City Park.

Road will take traffic off Wolf Creek Dam

To get to this spot, go across the Dam and take the first right up the hill for the scenic overlook. Pass the overlook parking lot and this view where road work is underway widens out.

This Old House Magazine to feature Field House

This Old House Magazine has made contact with the realtor working on a feature story about the John Field House, built in 1812, on the corner of Reed and Fortune Streets in Columbia.

If anyone has a picture of the wood section, the back side of the house facing Fortune Street, it would be greatly appreciated as that part has been torn off in renovations. Call or text for details is 270-403-0017.

Lance Burton makes magic at City Splash Pad event

Upwards of 4,000 people came out to see Lance Burton perform his magic at the grand opening celebration of the City's new Splash Pad August 25th. His appearance was the highlight of the big event to celebrate the new water feature at City Park and back to school for kids.
