1923 Milburn Model 27L Light Electric Car 2023-09-05 - Chicago, IL - Photo by Pen. Seen at the Museum of Science and Industry, which said of the car, "Cruising the streets, powered by lead-acid batteries, the Milburn Electric cut a stylish profile as an urban car for sophisticated motorists. The Milburn Wagon Company built cars like this one from 1915 to 1923." The car had a range of about 60 miles, and a top speed of 23 miles per hour. Then, out of nowhere the child screams in joy and points to something streaking across the northern sky over our barn. She cries out for everyone to come look with their naked-eye before they miss it. Yes it was something streaking across the northern sky going east. My spouse supposes it to be low-orbiting satellites, a group of possibly a dozen. I snapped a picture with my phone, but it was a magical sighting for a child!
