At 6,643 feet, Clingmans Dome is the highest point in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is the highest point in Tennessee, and the third highest mountain east of the Mississippi. Brother Bill Davenport asked his creative daughter-in-law Cayce to send photos of this mystery he found in hopes that sharing it on Columbia Magazine might bring out possible geology enthusiasts to identify it.
