Little League All-Stars honored with Proclamation

The Adair County Judge Executive was honored to be able to meet with the Adair County Little League All-Stars Team on Friday afternoon, July 28, 2023. This group of talented young men brought home the honorable first Runner Up title.

The Adair County All-Stars Little League team consists of Bentley Petty, Karson Richard, Daniel Held, Lundon Moore, Fischer Brown, James Feese, Jared Hughes, Bennett McGaha, Kaden Jackson, Hunter Ballou, Beau Melton, and Hayden Ford.

Mission Week for J.O.Y. Ministries

Hundreds of meals have been prepared during Mission Week at J.O.Y. Ministries. Mission Week started in 2012 with 19 kids and 4 adults, and has grown to over 75 children and 25 workers participating in service projects in the community, including painting and cleaning, volunteering at Adair Friends & Neighbors, cutting down trees, helping at the Feeding America warehouse, and providing hundreds of meals.

Six footer gets into the chicken coop

Terry knew something wasn't right when tending to his chickens last Saturday. He managed do a "catch and release" of this giant rat snake, which is estimated at over 6 feet long.
