"We are the late-night warriors, the parents typing papers with toddlers in our laps, the in-between-workers squeezing in assignments during lunch breaks. CPD donates tasers to Adair Co. Sheriff's Office

The Columbia Police Department has donated Axon Tasers and related accessories to the Adair County Sheriff's Office following the department's recent upgrade of its own Axon Taser equipment last month.

These surplus items, approved for donation by the Columbia City Council at its meeting yesterday evening, will assist the Adair County Sheriff's Office in its ongoing law enforcement efforts and public safety initiatives. Pictured are CPD Chief Evan Burton, at left, and Adair County Sheriff Gary Roy, at right.
