Larry writes, "The moon setting over Mt. Carmel at 3:36 on Monday morning. The dogs were raising a ruckus. I didn't find anything wrong. They may have been howling at the moon."

Epicurean Kentuckian: Scrapple, egg and cheese sandwich

Scrapple, they said at the restaurant in Maryland, is made of miscellaneous hog parts such as the head, heart, liver, etc., all boiled together with attached bones, then formed into spam-like shapes, sliced and offered with meals. It was tasted in this egg, cheese and scrapple breakfast sandwich.

All 11U All Stars team members were named Honorary Mayors of Columbia by Mayor Pamela Hoots as she proclaimed it 11U All Stars Week July 31-August 4, 2023 for their achievements in the 2023 season. Members of the team are: Bentley Petty, Karson Richard, Daniel Held, Lundon Moore, Fisher Brown, James Feese, Jared Hughes, Bennett McGaha, Kaden Jackson, Hunter Ballou, Beau Melton, and Hayden Ford. Coaches are: Brandon Petty, Chad Moore, and Chase Brown.
