Commuting patterns report for Adair County as of June 2023. The numbers have changed slightly since 2018, but still show a large gap between commuters to Adair County and commuters from Adair County.

Enjoying the new splash pad

Families are bringing children to the new Columbia splash pad on these hot summer days. There will be a grand opening celebration August 25th. It opens at 11amCT daily in the park at the old Fairgrounds beside the pavilion.

Students are returning to campus housing

The big parking lot in front of Smith Hall at Lindsey Wilson College shows that students are beginning to move in, getting ready for the fall semester start at the end of the month. This photo looks across Young Street where the apartments are also filling up. Columbia's population and economy grow as they come in.
