Birds of Kentucky: Little Blue Heron

A juvenile Little Blue Heron had a very successful afternoon at Lake Shelby this past week. He caught a bluegill just minutes before grabbing this frog. Another juvenile joined him the next day. Juveniles are all white except for dark wingtips, and don't get their distinctive blue and purple coloring until they reach adulthood.

Historians gather for BBQ & Bluegrass

Larry writes, "Two of my favorites Central Kentucky Historians at BBQ & Bluegrass in Campbellsville, Mike Watson and Betty Jane Gorin, were sharing some history during the fundraiser for the Heistand House and Taylor Regional Archives History Center. A large number of people came out to enjoy a meal and some great bluegrass music at the Campbellsville Community Center."
