Bridget Compton, Adair County Deputy Judge Executive, at left, was the coordinator for two companies that asked to come to Fiscal Court and examine the historic Courthouse clock for possible renovation. She is pictured with Roger Gordon, center, owner of Roger Gordon Clockmakers, Ltd., from Pennsylvania, and Adair County Judge Executive Larry Russell Bryant, in the old courthouse. They would climb up two floors and then up into the tower which houses the clock and bell.

Kris Grosser with the Verdin Company from Cincinnati, OH was one of two companies visiting Adair County Fiscal Court to make bids for the possible restoration of the historic Adair County courthouse clock.

Reader ideas on Columbia Magazine resulted in two companies reaching out to Adair County Fiscal Court to offer bids on restoration of the historic Courthouse clock. Roger Gordon with Roger Gordon Clockmakers Limited from Titusville, PA, made the trip to Columbia to review the potential project and make a bid. He is pictured in the top of the tower with his hand on the bell. Out the window behind him is the new AC Judicial Center which took all the offices out of the old Courthouse and started the road to where the county property stands now.
