Charles Greer chosen new Columbia PD Chief
 2023-10-02 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Victoria Pike of Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch. Charles Greer was chosen as new Columbia Police Department Chief in a unanimous vote by the City Council at Monday night's meeting. He was sworn in by the Mayor immediately following the Council meeting. Standing with Greer at his left in the picture are retiring Chief Jr Murphy and former Chief Mark Harris. Former Chief Murphy said, "Chief Greer has 18 years of law enforcement experience and has consistently proven his dedication to the citizens of Columbia and the Columbia Police Department. I have great confidence in his leadership abilities and a look forward to the future of the Columbia Police Department."
