The investment was awarded to the Adair County Fiscal Court, the Columbia-Adair County Economic Development Authority and the City of Columbia, which have partnered to build a 150,000-square-foot Build-Ready-certified pad that will further the potential for economic development in the area. Adair County native Dr. Allan Parnell was honored on Saturday when the College unveiled a bronze statue honoring Parnell's tenure as the longest-serving chairman of the LWC Board of Trustees. The sculpture, which stands at the entrance of the Parnell Family Stadium in Lindsey Wilson Sports Park, was unveiled during the College's 92nd Homecoming celebration in a surprise ceremony before the football game kickoff.
