LWC Homecoming King and Queen

On Saturday evening, the LWC student body crowned the homecoming queen and king during halftime of the LWC football game at Parnell Family Stadium. Crowned king was sophomore Isaac Duop from South Sudan, left, representing men's basketball. And crowned queen was senior Diamond Bryant from Clarksville, Tennessee, representing women's basketball.

LWC Alumni Awards 2023

Scenic Russell County, KY

Traffic has to move slowly to navigate the curves into the park and there's plenty of food in the wooded area.

Planned test of Emergency Alerts on October 4

FEMA, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) at approximately 2:20pmET on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. The WEA portion of the test will be directed to all consumer cell phones.

Tourism investment made for marketing

Paige Nickel, Executive Director of the Adair County Tourism and Convention Commission, accepted the $29,248 check from the Kentucky Department of Tourism to support travel marketing and promotion. Paige said, "The Adair County Tourism and Convention Commission is thrilled to receive these funds from the state. We plan to expand our county marketing efforts nationwide in hopes of bringing more visitors to our beautiful college and lake town."
