Volunteers needed to help keep this history strong
2023-10-09 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. Mother Nature provided a perfect fall day for the 2023 Giles Arts & Crafts Festival in the wooded Knifley, KY area of northern Adair County.
You can find the leader, Keysha Tucker, through Baker's Store in Knifley, if you'd like to have more information. She is hoping for volunteers to join the group that keeps the cabin, Henry's Becky House and lake, and the literary history surrounding them, going from year to year.

Pyles Excavating award letter, 2 of 2
2023-10-07 - Columbia, KY - Photo from Heather Spoon, EDA Consultant. Above, EDA Chairman Larry Walker signs paperwork for the winning bid. Heather writes, "Congratulations to Pyles Excavating, Inc. for winning the bid to construct a Certified Build Ready Pad in Green River Commerce Park. The EDA is thankful for all the bid submissions for this project, and we hope to have more opportunities in the near future. Being able to award this project to a local company means that the Kentucky dollars that were awarded this past week via the KPDI Round 1 grant, along with the local match dollars, will stay right here in Adair County, helping Adair county families! We look forward to working with Pyles on this project and can't wait to start seeing the dirt move!"
