Family and coaches at Luke Rich's signing

Luke Rich, the first Adair County swimmer to sign with a Division I NCAA school, was surrounded by family and supporters as he signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Southern Indiana, Evansville, Monday. He will be a May '23 ACHS graduate and started this journey at age seven swimming with the Blue Raider Aquatic Club at LWC.

Pumpkins the size of basketballs
 2023-11-22 - Metcalfe County, KY - Photo from the artist. Artist Karen Roland shares, "Painted Saturday from the side of the road on 218 in Metcalfe County. There were ripe pumpkins bigger than basketballs on both sides of the tumble down barn as far as the eye could see but I had to pick a side to include the barn detail. I call it "The Witch's Barn," 11x14" oil on panel."

Heading for the Thanksgiving Day Parade

Adair County High School Junior percussionist Grant Adamson is living in the "opportunity of a lifetime" -- he will participate in the 97th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as part of the Macy's Great American Marching Band (MCAMB). Grant and his family left for New York City last weekend in order to prepare for the big Thursday event. The parade will air live on NBC from 8:30am - Noon Thursday, November 23, 2023 or can be streamed using the Peacock app.
