Photography around Adair County, Kentucky
2023-12-06 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Robert Ellis, Robert Ellis Woodworking. Robert writes, "Initially I spotted this old house first, and it wasn't until I sought permission to take some pics, did the property reveal the old Farmall tractor beside it.
I had fun playing around with the photo while editing and finally decided on giving it a vintage look...trying to make it look like an old photograph."

Hospitality from Morgan Smith
2023-12-06 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. The only thing between the cold, pouring rain over all Saturday's parade entrants, and comfort, was the hospitality of Morgan Smith Industries. As the traditional lot where floats finish final touches and line up, the factory could simply have provided the gift of the large parking lot and been appreciated. However, they kept the doors open, restrooms available, and handed out free popcorn and hot chocolate - major comfort - to all who entered. Morgan Smith gets a Columbia Magazine gold star for holiday hospitality! - LW

I didn't start it
2023-12-06 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. If you've never had feral cats living outside your door, you've probably never heard a howling cat fight over territory. Every time this rescue, Smokey Blue, lets me near while he's dining, I hear his happy purrs and I think, yeah, he's tame, he's neutered, he's left his old ways behind. However, the minute another male muscles in to take over the yard, Blue goes right back to his wild roots, and the brawl is on. This fight was caught on a security camera so evidence shows he's not near as innocent as he wants me to believe with this look. - LW
