BAVFD has a tanker that can haul potable drinking water and was able to send two men, Captain Brandon Harvey and Firefighter Roger Firkins, with the truck. In a long Sunday shift, they hauled 15,000 gallons of water from the nearest water district in Static, TN and brought it back to Albany. Once home, they had to carefully drain the tanker to make sure the pump didn't freeze.
