MCHS Hornets defeat ACHS Lady Indians

Adair County High School Lady Indians were defeated by the Hornets of Metcalfe County High 69-40 Wednesday night. The team fought very hard but were unable to pull out a victory in the end. They will be back in action Friday night as they host Marion County in a 20th district matchup. - TS

Children's books on Rosa Parks were donated by Columbia Mayor Pam Hoots to be put in the children's section at the Adair County Public Library today in honor of Black History Month.

Additional archival storage arrives at AGHRC

The Adair Genealogy & History Research Center is always growing and "on the move" as evidenced by the new Hollinger Archival boxes delivered today. These acid free, reinforced storage boxes will hold many newspapers, posters, broadsides, calendars, prints, textiles, and art works.

Also in the shipment were oversize folders for individual storage of fragile items that come into the Center from our wonderful donors who seek to preserve our collective history.

Genealogy specialist Annita Dial stands next to the new boxes to show the scope and size.

Adair Co. Elementary School takes top honors at District

Along with first place honors of FPS, Quick Recall, and many individual accolades, the team as a whole was awarded first place overall recognition of District 34 Governor's Cup. These students will advance to regional competition in March.
