Making the Tea Party work

Those behind the scene making everything at the Tea Party at the Trabue Russell House taste yummy and function smoothly February 10, 2024 were, seated in front: Mattie Willis, Mary Anne Loy and Maggie Brummett. In back were Ashley Loy, Ila Loy, Sandy Conover, Halle Burton and Luci Irvin. Mary Anne was head chef with Nanwood Market owners Sandy and Luci key to organization and ticket sales.

Appetizers were: Tomato Dill Soup, Bacon Jam + Goat Cheese Crostini, and Stuffed Dates. Main Courses included: Savory Tartlet, Country Ham Biscuits, Curry Tea Sandwich. Desserts were: old fashioned Banana Pudding, Chocolate + Strawberry Cupcakes. Tea flavors: Earl Grey, Blueberry, Chocolate Mint, and Southern Pecan.

Downeys at Trabue Russell House Tea Party

Dr. and Mrs. Max Downey attended the Tea Party at the Trabue Russell House over the weekend and enjoyed being with friends at the special event. In conversation, he mentioned having commented on the awards his friend, realtor Chris Wilson, won recently - Dr. Downey said he misses in-person auctions and hopes they might become popular again over the online ones which take away all the fun. To him, the term "go live" means having the event publicly.
