The Stanford Road Bridge, ca 1903
 2024-04-07 - Adair Co., KY - Photo courtesy JIM. This image of the recently completed bridge across the Russell Creek at Stanford Road appeared in the November 19, 1903 edition of the Adair County News. The text accompanying the photo stated in part,"Mr. Gilbert Smith, of Wilmington, had charge of the work and took particular pains to make it a moddle (sic) in every particular. In all its parts it is strong and thoroughly constructed. It will stand for many years as a monument to the good judgment and enterprising spirit of the four magistrates and County Attorney, who secured its building."

Remembering the W.I. Ingram corner
 2024-04-06 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo from the Adair Genealogy & History Research Center. Mike Watson shares this look back at the W.I. Ingram corner of the Columbia Public Square (where Burkesville Street enters) sometime in the early part of the last century. He writes, "It is also remembered by my generation as the Firestone Building and later Mitzi's." This picture is just one of the many treasurers in the collections at the Adair Genealogy & History Research Center.

They do not know what they are, ages range from 3-4 months old. All are very, very friendly and love affection. First day of Farmers Market on the Square 2024
