Taylor County Judge Executive Barry Smith and Campbellsville Mayor Dennis Benningfield, center, joined Dr. Twyla Hernandez, at right, as she led the dedication service opening the Center for Faith and Ministry and the Prayer Garden named for Dr. Janes Jones at CU.

She read Dr. Jones' favorite verse, Philippians 3:12, "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me." She concluded with the words, "press on."

Dr. Jones credits Jesus and his Martha Bell

Dr. James E. Jones, seated, spoke from his heart at Friday's dedication, "I couldn't have done what I've been able to do without Jesus and my Martha Bell." He later wrote, "April 12th was a perfect day for me, my family and my precious wife, Martha, as we were honored by Campbellsville University naming a Prayer Garden at the Center For Faith and Ministry after us. Thank you to everyone who attended and for all the words of kindness spoken by each of you. I am forever grateful for this special day! May God Bless all of you!" Pictured from left are: Dr. Twyla Hernandez, Dr. Jones, Trustee Rev. Joel Carwile and President Joseph Hopkins.
