Public Safety Telecom week proclaimed
 2024-04-18 - Columbia, KY - Photo from City Hall. This week, April 14-20, 2024, is Public Safety Telecommunications Week in Adair County and a proclamation was issued by Columbia Mayor Pamela Hoots. Present at the signing were: 911 Center Director Derrick Murphy; Assistant Director Grant Loy, and Dustin Posey. Representing the Columbia-Adair County Fire Department was Dennis Loy; the ambulance service was Director Daryl Flatt; the Columbia City Police Chief Charles Greer, Sergeant Drew Conn, Officer Trevor Foster, and Officer Holly Rice, along with K9 Cally.

Cyber threats and what we need to know

He represents the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Region 4, Kentucky. Glover told the audience at the Russell County Public Library that cyber threats are real and his agency is available to do a no-cost risk analysis on site.
