Duck Derby 2024 held inside due to rains 2024-05-07 - Downtown Columbia, KY . Normal calm waters of Russell Creek were rolling high due to heavy rains and it was theorized the little plastic yellow ducks would have drowned, or been whooshed into the next county, so the annual Duck Derby fundraiser was moved inside. Drawings for prizes were held in City Hall May 4, 2024 with help from Rocky Burton, Lance's dog, and Jakki, Mayor Pam's dog. For more details call 270-384-2501. By the time we got to Loy Cemetery Road, it was a vibrant rainbow. Even a double rainbow was visible. When we saw these we pulled off the road to admire them and take a picture.
