The fortress has been around since the bronze age and irons periods. Beautiful old castle that had designs similar to those of the Normans in western Europe. The fortress is on the high hill that is surrounded by the countryside and and a series of lakes and canals."

He spoke on "Memory of the Wilderness: Daniel Trabue and the Frontier of Kentucky", based on his article on Trabue in the Journal of American History from March of 1998.
