Trey writes, "Colton Huffman, a recent graduate of Metcalfe County High School, won a National BETA scholarship worth $6,000. He was chosen from 2,700 applicants from across 18 states. The award was presented at the National Senior BETA Convention in Savannah, Georgia." (More news to come from Adair County High School BETA later this week.)

This group is pictured riding train from Anchorage to Seward. Gathering for the Juneteenth celebration

In this picture, the crowd was just coming in to their reserved tables around 6pmET Saturday, June 15, 2024, for the third annual Juneteenth black tie gala held at Swan's Landing in Campbellsville. Celebrations will be going on all around the state and country leading up to June 19th, the date in 1865 when Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger led Union soldiers into Galveston, Texas, bringing news that slavery in the United States had ended by executive decree.
