New lighting coming in New Columbia

2024-07-19 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Vicky Pike of Miss Vicky\'s Pampered Angus Ranch.
A meeting was held to designate locations for 14 new street lights to be installed on Hwy 61 S/Burkesville Road today. Troy Kimbler, Kimbler Plumbing, was there as the contractor along with Mayor Pam Hoots, Jerry Watson, Godfrey Jackson with Taylor County RECC, Terry Moore, and others. I was there at the Mayor's request since I'm the biggest fan of the lighting project for our fast developing area of New Columbia. Thanks to her and all who are making it happen.

Kentucky Color: Wow

2024-07-19 - Great Wooded South - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge.
Billy Joe writes, "Hopefully we are all far enough removed from this tragic attack on humanity to find a bit of humor at this point. I could not help but smile when confronted by the idea, in my warped way of thinking, that this poor water fountain had not yet recovered from the effects of the virus."
