This "little bear was awfully cute," according to photographer Hailey Waggener. He was spotted in a Gatlinburg, TN parking area searching through food wrappers for something to eat.

Back in the 1800s when agriculture was the mainstay getting into the fair only cost 35 cents. Since then, agricultural meets, horse shows and general fairs became a special interest of agricultural Kentucky. They began in the Bluegrass and spread across the state. To foster diversification and to bring new breeds and varieties into common use, agricultural fairs were promoted in the state as early as the 1830s.

Adair County Fair continues in new location

Even in cloudy weather with occasional storms, the Adair County Fair has continued and will be going on today, Friday, August 2, and all day tomorrow, Saturday, August 3rd. Crowds have been good.

Pharmacy family gathers with owner - wife, mom, grandma

Century Medicines Express Pharmacy founding pharmacist Sheila Pyles Bryant officially retired this week. Her family gathered around her at the official announcement and store closure. Her daughter Heather noted that it was a full family business with the kids growing up in it. Century Medicine customers will now be served by David Bowman's Columbia Pharmacy.
