Beth Stapp crosses the finish line in half marathon
 2024-09-15 - Somerset, KY - Photo by Sheila Helm. Beth Stapp of Columbia ran the half-marathon on Saturday morning, September 14, 2024, in The Lake Cumberland Half & 10K at Burnside, KY. Beth took first place in her age bracket, and finished 34th overall, shaving 6 minutes off her best time.
Tony Konvalin of Columbia finished first in the Male 60-69 category, and 8th overall, while Ramie Hutchison of Russell Springs finished 2nd in the Male 30-39 category and 11th overall. Shannon and John Tillberry of Edmonton finished 14th and 15th overall.
The Lake Cumberland Half is a 13.1 mile point to point race to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County. The race began at Bronston, KY on the Houseboat Capital of the World Bridge, crossing over beautiful Lake Cumberland and then traveled through parts of Burnside, Ferguson and back into Somerset, ending at Somerset Community College.
