Last year, more than 500 volunteers came to help, but they were handicapped by lack of boats to get them to and from clean designations. If you can help these volunteers clean up the lakeshore you enjoy so much, call Andrea O'Bryan at 270-465-4463. The US Army Corps of Engineers' 28th Annual Volunteer Lakeshore Cleanup will be held on Saturday September 20, 2014 this year. Registration and trash pickup are from 8am-11amCT/9am-12pm noon ET.
