Scenic Kentucky: Scully sculpture greets visitors to Speed
 2026-08-03 - Louisville, KY - Photo by Pen. Installed in 2019, "30", an aluminum and automotive paint sculpture by Irish artist Sean Scully, greets visitors to the Speed Art Museum. In a social media post, museum representatives say, "The off-kilter stacking of blocks compliments the stacked nature of our new North Building, while the horizontal lines present a contrast to the vertical lines of the building exterior."

Now they stay in their own pasture safe from weeds of all kinds. It's good to know your weeds before setting farm animals free to roam. I did discover their love for graham crackers. Beats eating poisonous weeds by a longshot!"

Trooper plays pivotal role in rescue of injured bald eagle

Trooper Trey Lovins helped capture a juvenile bald eagle that was in distress, and delivered it to Liberty Nature Center, where it was rehabilitated. KSP Troopers, along with Lake Cumberland Refuge employees and volunteers, were present at "Trooper's" release after rehab on Laurel Lake near the Holly Bay beach.

Hospital in Columbia celebrates decade of service

Employees, community leaders and guests gathered last week to celebrate a milestone that many in Adair County once feared might never come. The 10th anniversary was celebrated with a public open house and community celebration, recognizing a decade of expanding healthcare services while reflecting on the hospital's remarkable transformation since joining the T.J. Regional Health system in 2016.
