Comet Tsuchinshan

2024-10-21 - Russell Springs, KY - Photo by Roldcat.
Roldcat took this photo on October 16, 2024, just before 7pmCT. He writes, "If you look closely you can see Comet Tsuchinshan through the tons of light pollution that was around when this photo was taken from a location in Russell Springs. It was a beautiful sight to see in the early evening sky.

If you knew where to look, you could have seen it with the naked eye as well."

Robert writes, "Leaving the Columbia River Gorge area with its numerous Waterfalls, we head towards Central Oregon and the start of the high desert area. Can't wait any longer

2024-10-21 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
I've waited for someone in the Columbia Magazine family of great photographers to send a picture of that giant full moon rising Thursday evening. Since that hasn't happened I can't wait any longer to share, with apologies that it's a fuzzy phone picture, but still it shows how awesome it looked in the sky over New Columbia's Zaxby's.
