Gerald Jones accepts award from David Jones
2014-12-19 - 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. David Jones said that only rarely do paths cross where one meets a man as extraordinary as Gerald Jones. "We did not get one complaint during the projects," David Jones said. "He did the canopies in sections to minimize interference with regular school traffic. He poured concrete at night and on weekends. And not one time did he ever complain." David Jones added, "I hope he's in charge of the new bus garage." The bus garage project moved forward last night, Thu 18 Dec 2014, with the decision to hire the architectural firm of Sherman, Carter & Barnhart, Architects, of Lexington, KY for the project. David Jones said he's hopeful the project will be complete by opening day for the 2015-2016 school year. -EW
