Bypass route from 55 north to Parkway east 2024-10-15 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. Even before signs went up changing the weekend festival traffic, these three identical, unmarked truck/trailer vehicles - two white and one bright yellow - journeyed south from Campbellsville, taking the Veterans Memorial Bypass all the way around to Hwy 55 south, turned left, and then right onto the Cumberland Expressway heading east. Good job, drivers! And good job to whatever mapping agencies got the directions right. This is the best way to get around downtown Columbia, heading south - from 55 north to the Parkway east - until we get the other half of the bypass.
