Christmas cards for the troops
 2024-11-18 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Annita Dial. The Jane Lampton Chapter, NSDAR took up the Send Our Troops Christmas Card challenge from the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. Each chapter was asked to mail at least 250 cards. Our little chapter of only 30 members surpassed that request and mailed out 331 Christmas cards!

Shout out to Piecemakers Quilt Guild

Shout Out to the Piecemakers Quilt Guild and Chris Lagermann for making the Quilts for Heros Presentation on Veteran's Day so special. It was six years ago when Becky London spearheaded the Quilts for Heroes project and six quilts were presented to local veterans. This year twenty-three quilts were presented. There is a lot of sewing, time, and love going in to these gifts.

Columbia Baptist Church OCC shoebox cartons
 2024-11-18 - Columbia, KY - Photo from Mark Fudge. Members of the Columbia Baptist Church finished packing their 1,151 shoebox gifts into 73 cartons in preparation for National Collection Week which begins Monday November 18, and runs through Monday, November 25, 2024.
Pictured are: Mark Fudge, Caleb Johnson, Travis Hale, Randy Johnson, Anthony Hale, Dylan Hale, Mike Talley, Josh Karnes, Chuck Quinn, Tessa LaBarge and Aaron LaBarge. The church has been collecting items throughout the year and started packing boxes back in July.
