Help with bee ID and relo needed
2015-11-04 - Photo By Linda Waggener. Calling on Columbiamagazine.com readers for help with identification and relocation of these bees or Yellow Jackets. They have found a clever place to build their home in the space between two boards in this building where they are not wanted. Two cans of commercial high pressure spray have not daunted them one bit as it only hits the boards and not the hive inside. If you blow the photo up you can see the face of the bee flying toward the camera with an expression of confidence that no human will intimidate the bee. The photo is a bit fuzzy because the photographer WAS intimidated and backing quickly away.

Matt Bevin in Columbia, KY, with ACR Jailer Joey White
2015-11-04 - Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center, 430 Helen Flatt Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener (file photo). On Thursday, April 30, 2015, Joey White, Adair County Regional Jailer, greeted Matt Bevin, candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor, at the Adair County Republican Party Meet and Greeting/Gubernatorial Forum at Lindsey Wilson College, Thursday, 30 Apr 2015. At the time, Bevin was in slightly hostile territory at a time when most of the GOP establishment - then mostly Jamie Comer supporters - was making sure they weren't photographed with him. It was a tribute to his perseverance that the governor-elect soldiered on, made it through a trying night, continued his adept brand of one-on-one retail politics, won the Republican primary in a 87 vote landslide then won the general election is a somewhat bigger landslide. In the background seen between Mr. White and Bevin is LaGene Stephens Sexton, daughter of Adair CJE Mike Stephens, and far right, Adair County County Attorney Jennifer Hutchison Corbin.
