Garden Tour 2025: welcome to Bishop Lake

2025-05-09 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Briggs and June showed us to the new Bishop Lake on Pelham Branch Road in Adair County which is one of five outdoor entertainment and garden areas on the May 18th tour. Stacey Bishop shared, "Welcome to Bishop Lake which started with a vision of establishing a new home on our family farm, and five years later, we are nearing completion. I collaborated with Greg Smith of Egypt Construction to bring my vision to life, and he successfully created a stunning 1.5-acre lake surrounded by exquisite landscaping from Bishop's Nursery and Landscaping, along with a custom-built concrete patio area designed for relaxation. The lake features aeration and a beautiful fountain. Last season, it was stocked with bluegill fish, and we are currently awaiting the delivery of bass fish. My aspiration is for future generations of our family to enjoy countless years of fishing and entertainment in this serene environment."
